Used Plastic Reels | Used Plastic SpoolsWe offer two types of heavy duty plastic spools. These plastic reels are a lightweight sturdy alternative to steel spools or reels, at 30% of the cost and weight. The spools are slightly used. These wire spools were used to hold copper wire. The wire reels held aprox. 200 to 300 lbs. of copper wire per wire spool. Molded plastic drawing, bunching and stranding reels. Used for wire spools, tubing reels, sleeving reels, rope spools etc. Made of high impact styrene and ABS. Taper ReelOur taper reel features smooth plastic flanges that will assist in high-speed de-reeling and flange deflection will be minimal, reducing the possibility of trapped wire. The three-piece bolted construction enhances the possibility of reuse since damaged components can be replaced. All reel components are recyclable, resulting in monetary and ecological benefits. Additional features include starting and finishing holes in the flanges along with Dura-Grip barrel finish to prevent movement of the initial layer of wire on the tapered barrel. 50 lb. and 100 lb. taper reels These reels are very popular packages for shipping of medium- to fine-gauge magnet wire as well as other copper and plated copper conductors. The tapered barrel feature prevents wire tangling caused by quick starts and stops in de-reeling.
